Ramificaciones was created in 2018 with the soul purpose to extend contemporary art to the Northcentral region of Mexico. Since it’s creation it has had a variety of events, which have responded in favor to the project. The main activities have been held in COZCyT (Consejo Zacatecano de Ciencia y Tecnología) and has had the support of private grants as well as the institute of culture of the state.
The intention of the festival is to extend the view of all artists in the region and educate on the most recent technological developments around the world. It is also a commitment to build bridges between the gaps that divide art, technology and science. This approach intends to have a more heterogeneous audience.
